Is this a puller or pusher fan?

Zirgo® Electric Cooling Fans are designed as a puller, but can be turned into a pusher. See installation instructions for more details.

What is fCFM?

fCFM stands for Forced Cubic Feet per Minute. It measures the volume of air a fan can move.

How do I mount this?

Zirgo® Fans include up to 6 mounting location options. Choose 4 of these and install with included mounting feet for easy placement.

Are the mounting feet included?

Yes, 4 short mounting feet are included.

You can purchase additional short mounting feet here OR long mounting feet here.

Can this be mounted with the pull through plastic fan zip ties?

Yes it can! We recommend Zirgo® Mounting Fan Ties which are the strongest radiator cable ties on the market.

The unique locking design allows for maximum strength with the easiest installation.

Will this fan fit in my engine bay?

All Zirgo® fans have an ultra slim profile but taking accurate measurements of the engine bay area is crucial to ensure that you select a fan that fits appropriately and does not obstruct other essential components.

Measure the radiator and the distance between the radiator and engine components. Measure the radiator core (the finned surface between the two tanks). You’ll want to select one of our fans that covers as much of this space as possible.

Does this fan have a sealed motor and will it survive in a hot engine compartment?

Yes, all Zirgo® fans have a sealed steel water resistant motor. The fan cage is made of heavy duty plastic and will not melt.

Is there a recommended amp fuse for this fan?

Most Zirgo® fans draw around 7.0 amps +/– 0.5 amps. Zirgo® recommends a 30 amp fuse and relay or higher. Shop relays here.

Will this fan operate with a 16v system?

Zirgo® fans are designed to run on a 12v system and will not work properly (the motor will quickly burn up) on a 16v system without a voltage reducer.

What's the difference between single fans and performance fan packages?

Single Fans - only come with fan and mounting feet.
Performance Fan Packages - come with fan(s), relay, harness, temperature switch, fan ties and mounting feet. Everything you need in 1 box!

What's the difference between universal and vehicle specific fan kits?

Universal Fan Kits - universal fit for most radiators. You can customize for your vehicle if needed.
Vehicle Specific Fan Kits -designed for your car and bolt directly on.
